The Teradek Bolt 6 XT Set is an advanced real-time wireless video transmission system. It supports 4K video using Teradek’s patented Zero-Delay technology. Now, with the newly opened 6GHz wireless frequency, it offers less interference. In under 0.001 seconds, the included Bolt 6 XT video Transmitter and Receiver can send and receive color-accurate, True-HDR videos. This set has several great features. It offers range options for different production needs, fast reconnection times, and an intuitive setup with the Bolt Manager App for iOS or Android. It also provides consistent and stable connectivity. The Bolt 6 XT series uses the 6GHz band, which gives users better image quality and reduced interference. In high-traffic areas, the 6GHz wireless frequency offers 12 new channels for frequency adjustments. The Bolt 6 can pass metadata, timecode, and start/stop flags from most camera manufacturers. The Bolt 6 XT has a redesigned build. It's smaller, lighter, runs cooler, and is 50% quieter than the Bolt 4K. An integrated 5-pin USB port allows for easy wireless camera-control setup with SmallHD Smart Monitors, and it has an improved long-range wireless video mode. There are also new tools for high-end users to better monitor their connections and signals. The included Transmitter and Receiver are cross-compatible with the entire Bolt 4K Series, including Bolt 4K, Bolt 4K LT, and the Bolt 4K Monitor Modules. You can link up to 6 receivers to one transmitter, or unlimited receivers in Broadcast Mode (available on MAX models). The Bolt 6 XT offers three line-of-sight options: 750 ft., 1500 ft., and the MAX Set, which can reach up to 5,000+ ft. You can also upgrade your set to include Gold or V-Mount Battery plates. Using the 6GHz frequency, the Bolt 6 provides a quieter wireless environment, though it can be set up in 5GHz Mode for backwards compatibility. In 6GHz Mode, users get faster connections and less interference. The 6GHz frequency is available in the US and Canada under UNII-5 government specifications, and more countries will open it in 2023. Key features include Zero Delay, 6GHz Wireless Frequency, Bolt 4K Cross-Compatibility, lightweight and quiet design, built-in 5-pin USB for camera control, 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs and outputs.
Using the Teradek Bolt 6 XT Set is straightforward. First, connect the transmitter to your camera using either the 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 input. Then, connect the receiver to your monitor or recording device with the corresponding output. You can use the Bolt Manager App on your iOS or Android device to set up and configure the system easily. When using it, make sure there is a clear line of sight between the transmitter and receiver for the best range. In high-traffic areas, you can take advantage of the 6GHz frequency and its 12 new channels to reduce interference. Just switch to the 6GHz mode if you're in an area where it's available. The set is cross-compatible with the Bolt 4K Series, so you can expand your workflow by adding more receivers. You can link up to 6 receivers to one transmitter, or use the Broadcast Mode (on MAX models) for unlimited receivers. As for power, you can use the 2-Pin Circular locking Connector with a 6 - 28 VDC power source. You can also choose to use optional Gold or V-Mount Battery plates for more flexibility. Keep in mind that the operating temperature of the device is between 0 - 40 degrees Celsius. Don't expose it to extreme heat or cold. For maintenance, keep the device clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it. If you need to upgrade the firmware, you can do it via the USB-C interface. Also, be careful when handling the antennas. They are important for the wireless connection, so make sure they are properly attached and not damaged.
